Because this is a tapestry fabric overnight bag, there are no integral cardboard or plastic stiffeners to make it stand up on its own as is seen in hardside luggage. In most cases this soft bag is very appropriate for use as a carry on since it can usually be molded to fit into any limited space where it is placed.
